Plot[]

Shortly after Hyun arrived, he noticed the young woman leave the apartment, but never spoke to her. Later, at night, the young woman began showing signs of late stage monsterization. Hungry, she stole some of Hyun su's ramyeon noodles that were delivered at his door. Hyun-su came out of his room to pick up the ramyeon he ordered but sees trails of his scattered ramyeon that have torn through on the floor, leading to his neighbor's room. He follows the trail and notices a bloody mess and a discarded cat leash, implying that the monster ate the pet cat. Hyun-su managed to catch a glimpse of the monster's arm, which was bloodied and lacked skin. A horrified Hyun-su attempted to walk back to his room, but ended up stepping on a dropped bag of ramyeon. The noise alerted the Starving Monster, who went to investigate, but Hyun-su managed to get back in his room and hide. She was able to revert back to her human form and tried contacting Hyun through the door camera. Her human self appeared to not remember anything that happened while she was controlled by the monster, though she still had some hunger. Hyun, however, remained suspicious and asked to see her arm. The young lady was confused and kept asking for food, but Hyun continued to press her through the mic and camera. The frustration of this caused her to give in to her desire and begin to monsterfy.

At this time, however, someone upstairs began playing bass loudly, which caused the Starving Monster to stop harassing Hyun and try to find the source. Upon arriving outside Jisu's apartment, with the monster still in control, she rang the door bell. Jisu, upon answering through the door camera and mic, was disturbed by her appearance, as the monster did not have any extreme mutations and still looked roughly human. The monster grew tired of the delay and started trying to break down Jisu's door, terrifying Jisu, but when it detected Wook Pyeon approach, it grew scared and ran away, jumping out the 15th floor window. As the young lady was not yet completely turned, the Starving Monster could not recover from the fall and fully died.

In life, she was unable to lose weight, despite watching what she ate and "starving" herself. She complained that her cat could eat whatever it wanted and never got fat. When transformed, she was plagued with an insatiable need to eat.

Notes and Trivia[]

  • She was Hyun-su's next door neighbor.
  • As a human, she was an actress who needed to lose weight possibly for an upcoming role so she would often starve herself.
