Episode 4 of Sweet Home Season 2 shows that it is Day 337 since the monsterization. Tak and his men handle the security, have banned expeditions and enforce a curfew. Everyone lives below a stadium. The Green Home residents are seen as outcasts as it seems that Eun-yu killed Chief Ji’s husband. New characters are introduced — U-seok who hates Eun-yu, Oh Jun-il, an autistic man with a mother who has cancer.
Two stadium survivors, Sang-jin and Dong-gi try to bypass the military by going to Chief Ji whom all stadium survivors respect. She promises to help them if they follow Eun-yu. Meanwhile, Sergeant Choi seems to be hooking up with Ji-na, who is injured.
Ye-seul, Ji’s daughter runs a pawn shop and hangs out with Seon-hwa who pretends to be insane. Eun-yu barters with her but is aggressive and dunks her in her own drink when she plays hard to get. The men gamble in their free time and Kang Seung-wan keeps losing to Father Peter.
Jun-il ends up following Sang-jin and Dong-gi and the trio follow Eun-yu as she heads out. Meanwhile, the military are low on ammo and decide to scavenge an unverified area. They steer clear of monsters as long as they doesn’t attack.
As Eun-yu heads out, she has red ribbons tied along her pathway. In a flashback, we see a monster wing kill the MH, possibly Ji’s husband and ties a red ribbon on Eun-yu when she is unconscious. The trio come across a supermarket while following her and Sang-jin declares that they should kill Eun-yu to gain Ji’s favour.
Dong-gi could care less and hesitantly follows him while Jun-il runs off. He comes across a botanical garden and sees a curly-haired mysterious girl sleeping. She startles awake and touches him. He gets paralysed with his memories while a scar forms where she touches him. She blames him for waking her.
Like Jin-ok and Yeong-su, Seung-wan is treated as an outcast even when he tries to work, but Ji allows him. Soft-hearted, she also allows Mrs. Oh who begs for some fresh air. As they work on the outer wall, Ye-seul has heart eyes for Chan-young while Seon-hwa has her eye on Peter who is way too friendly with Ji-na.
Outside, Choi sees a hospital and abandons his post to find medicine for Ji-na. Mrs. Oh tries to run but much to everyone’s shock, she steps on a landmine. Chan-young tries to help her but she says she wanted to disappear quickly. But now, she wants to live. However, at that moment, she gets a nosebleed and Tak warns Chan-young.
Elsewhere, Eun-yu catches on and runs as Sang-jin and Don-gi chase her. She hides in an abandoned building while the men run into the same mystery girl. Eun-yu falls but they are distracted as they attack the mystery girl. She possesses Dong-gi who kills Sang-jin.
The expedition squad realise Choi is missing with Seo-jin wanting to search for him. At that moment, Chan-young runs a truck over the landmine. They think they are safe but there is a delayed explosion just as Mrs. Oh and Tak are walking back. The expedition squad run towards the noise, promising Seo-jin that they will search for Choi later.
Meanwhile, Eun-yu’s hiding place is suddenly surrounded by monsters. She runs and is almost killed but something pulls them away. She thinks it is Eun-hyuk but the mystery girl pops up with a red ribbon around her arm at the end of Sweet Home Season 2 Episode 4.
