Chan-Yeong is described as a righteous and kind-hearted individual, always willing to help and protect those in need. He has demonstrated to be quite impulsive and reckless, willing to disobey duties if it meant saving another person's life, He is also an altruist, helping without expecting anything in return. He is kind-hearted and somewhat rebellious when given orders that he does not consider to help other people. His optimism is a beacon of light in the midst of darkness, something that helps relieve tension and maintain the spirit of the group.
