"Episode 9" is the ninth episode and series premiere of Season 1 of Sweet Home, and the ninth episode overall.
Synopsis[]
When a team of outlaws take over the building, the residents are shown how humans can be even more barbaric than the monsters.
Plot[]
After burying Jae-heon along with the others, Jisu who has finally woken up from the previous episode saw what happen. As she cries, Eun yoo comes to comfort her and shares how her and Eun Hyuk parents died in a car accident. She wanted to prove herself as ballerina, but got her ankle injured. Eun-yoo promises Jisu that she will stay with her until the end and won't die on her.
An armored truck breaks into the Green Home building. As the men come out, they find the runaway soldier Jang Ju-Seong and cut his finger. They try to open a briefcase with its fingerprint, but as it doesn't work, their leader Shin Jung-Seop tells them to capture everyone in the building. They quickly capture most of the residents and draw a circle that will be their "prison". Shin Jung-Seop shoots Ji-eun in the back, causing everyone to gather in the circle as they watch Ji-eun die.
Hyuk Lee asks from where they come and what happened there. Shin Jung-Seop explains they came from a church and everyone is dead there, as they had killed each other. Kyeong-Mo reports he found an injured girl, Jisu, but tells the rest that he is saving her for later. Eun Hyuk tells the residents that the men are likely criminals who took soldiers clothes and to wait for an opportunity.
Wook Pyeon and Yi Kyung join forces and manage to kill two of the criminals. They find Yeong-su, who is with a harmless Slime monster who had previously saved him from the criminals. Meanwhile, Shin Jung-Seop find that Eun Hyuk is the leader and even performed surgery and offers him to join him and Hyuk Lee agrees. Shin Jung-Seop is informed about a monster and they visit Seon-young, where he realizes she is infected and shoots her in the head.
Wook Pyeon and Yi Kyung form a plan. Yi Kyung attack the criminals, killing one of them and forcing four to follow her. Wook Pyeon manages to kill two of the persuaders, while Yi Kyung traps the other two. Eun Hyuk sees an opportunity and jumps on Shin Jung-Seop and the rest of the residents start to fight back. However Shin Jung-Seop takes down Eun Hyuk and forces everyone to stop. Seon-young then appears and with her arm transformed, she kills one of the soldiers. She heads towards Hyuk Lee, but Hyun Cha steps in front of her trying to stop but and she pierce him. Having no choice, Hyun Cha strangles her. Shin Jung-Seop realizes Hyun Cha isn't ordinary and takes him to the roof. Kyeong-Mo calls Yu-ri to help Jisu, but attempts to violate her. With Jisu's help, Yu-ri manages to kill Kyeong-Mo. Yi Kyung uses the time Shin Jung-Seop is gone and assaults the other criminals and manages to free the residents.
On the rooftop, Shin Jung-Seop wonders how to have fun with Hyun Cha. Ui-Myeong then transforms his arm, piercing Shin Jung-Seop and then dropping him off the building and leaves only Kim Nam-Il alive. Ui-Myeong reveals he is a monster similar to Hyun Cha. Wanting to prove they are monsters that don't kill people, Hyun Cha takes Ui-Myeong to the Infant monster. Ui-Myeong finds it surprising, but wonders if there are humans that won't attack a monster and shows a military flyer that offers safety to anyone who reports person who resisted monsterization.
