"Episode 8" is the eighth episode and series premiere of Season 1 of Sweet Home, and the eighth episode overall.
Synopsis[]
Having little options in her state of being, Ji-su agrees to take a big risk. Yi-kyung returns to Green Home just in time.
Plot[]
Hearing the outside noise, Eun Hyuk guesses their plan failed. The risk is greater, but Jisu gives her permission to operate and he starts. Hyun Cha attempts to electroshocks the Steroid monster, but it has no effect. Ahn comes out and throws two molotovs on the monster, and gets to Hyun Cha. The monster puts out the fire and is about to kill Seop Ahn when Yi Kyung comes and hits it with a firetruck. Wook Pyeon manages to get Yu-ri out of the car moments before it catches fire and explodes. Yi Kyung pushes the monster with a burning container down a construction site, trapping him under the burning container.
Seo Yi Kyung questions Hyun Cha, about when he first got the symptoms and if something speaks to him and how he escaped it. Hyun Cha explains he just wanted to live. Yi Kyung then reveals she got caught by soldiers and that there was experiment to prevent monsterization. As she also wanted to live, she had told them about Hyun Cha.
The residents use the water in the firetruck. While eating, Seon-young reveals that she had symptoms for a while and wishes to go outside to not endangers them. The residents don't want her out and vote for she to stay and isolate her.
Yi Kyung recalls Han Yoo-Jin offer and that if she signals them where Hyun Cha is, she will give her the location and appearance of her fiance. Jang Ju-Seong, a runaway soldier then attacks her, but she disarms him. Later they hear other soldiers on the soldier's radio looking for him and Yi Kyung breaks it and tells the rest to remove the SOS signal on the building.
Seo Yi Kyung visits Seon-young, the moment she tells her she needs to survive the first 15 days, Seon-yeong has a severe nosebleed, but Yi Kyung manages to calm her down. After taking the SOS signal down, Hyun Cha and Wook Pyeon see the security guard entering the elevator and heading down. They rush to alarm the rest and down the stairs. A monster attacks Wook Pyeon, who tells Hyun Cha to continue alone, who then jumps down to the first floor, but breaks his leg. The elevator door opens with Jin-Ok waiting in front. The security guy had turned into a monster covered with flies, who then attacks Jin-Ok, but Jae-heon saves her. In the fight, the monster breaks Jae-heon's katana and cuts off his left arm. As the residents arrive, Jae-heon gets up, takes his broken katana and attacks the monster from behind. He manages to push it back into the elevator, where he continues to fight him and punctures the fuel on the backpack and tells the residents to burn him. Having no choice, Eun Hyuk throws a molotov at him, burning both Jae-heon and the monster.
