"Episode 7" is the seventh episode and series premiere of Season 1 of Sweet Home, and the seventh episode overall.
Synopsis[]
Hyun-su saves the others from a deadly attack. Running out of necessities, Eun-hyeok announces a plan to venture outside for resources.
Plot[]
Hyuk Lee shoots the Speed Monster in the eye, temporary stopping him and allowing them to hide. Using car alarms, they manage to distract him and get in a car. Multiple monsters then attack the car and they end up crashing near the exit. Seop Ahn shows up and burns all the monsters with a fire-thrower. Meanwhile, Dusik Hahn had managed to catch the Spider Monster leg. The monster almost escapes and pierce his leg, but the rest of the residents come to help and they lift the monster into the trap. Kim Su-yeong causes the monster leg to burn, making it panic and eventually free itself. As its about to attack the residents, Hyun Cha and the rest return and Hyun Cha stabs the monster and starts electrocuting it and disable it. As Hyun Cha returns to his cell, the residents decide to allow him to choose to go there or stay with them, and he chooses the later.
Ryu Jae-hwan decides to break the shower rules and takes one, but discovers the water got contaminated. Eun Hyuk then calls Dusik to the basement and asks him to reinforce one of the cars as they need to move out before people start to panic.
Han Yoo-Jin releases Yi Kyung, explaining that those that resist monsterization are referred as special infectees and that the 15th days after the first symptom is the hardest. Only one had lived past the 15th day, but had disappeared.
Having overheard Eun Hyuk, Seung-wan goes through Hyuk Lee files and realizes they are low on food and water. Seeing others gathering some food, they panics and thinks they are leaving him behind. As he causes a scene and stating all will die, Seop Ahn disagrees and states that those who act in fear like him, are the first to die, which causes Seung-wan to calm down. Eun yoo tells everyone that they have food for 5 days only and need to go outside and gather some provisions. The group going out will be formed by those that are most likely to succeed.
Jisu falls ill and they realize its her appendix. To save her life they need to operate her and special supplies. Hyuk Lee tells the group their priority is the medical supplies and only after that food provisions. As their priority changes, the group slightly changes and Hyun Cha, Wook Pyeon and Yu-ri head out.
While coming out, Hyun Char recalls today is the day he had decides to kill himself. He recalls how one day he saw the new student Kim Do-Hun in front of the vending machine and offered him some coins, stating he doesn't need to return them, but Kim Do-Hun found that as arrogant. Kim Do-Hun then would start beating daily Hyun Cha, turning all of his friends against him and forbidding them to talk to him. Hyun Cha's father works in the company Kim Do-Hun's father owns and Hyun Cha is forced to take the beating or his father would be fired. Neither of his parents or sister care about Hyun Cha, but the bullying stops after Hyun Cha's father visits the school. One day, Kim Do-Hun bullies a friend of Hyun Cha, telling him to go on the road while the cars are running and he will pay for his mother's surgery. Hyun Cha pushes Kim Do-Hun on the road to be killed, but the car brakes just in time. The next day his father is fired. Sometime later, the friend from the road incident visits Hyun Cha and blames him for his mother's death, since he had intervened that day. That led to Hyun Cha attempting suicide and how his family got killed by the car crash.
As soon as their car comes out of the basement, the Steroid monster, who has evolved into a bigger version of itself and survived the fall, attacks them and flips the car.
