"Episode 4" is the fourth episode and series premiere of Season 1 of Sweet Home, and the fourth episode overall.
Synopsis[]
Critical information about the monsters is made public. When residents are split on what to do with Hyun-su, Lee Eun-Hyeok suggests they hold a vote.
Plot[]
The residents manage to close the shutters before the Tongue monster comes in. Heartbroken, Jin-ok blamed Eun Hyuk for this. Jae-heon and Jisu decides to go to the first floor to check if it's indeed safe and Hyun Cha decides to join them.
Seo Yi Kyung wakes entangled in a spiderweb. She manages to escape before the Spider Monster returns and kills her. However, the spider monster sees her entering the ventilation and starts chasing her, but eventually she manages to escape it. Yi Kyung returns to the first floor and punches Eun Hyuk as she figured he knew there was a monster in the basement, but didn't warn her.
The military announces martial law and explains monster exist and its related to human desire. The monsters are hard to kill and have regeneration abilities. They need to isolate anyone with the symptoms and can kill them before the complete their transformation.
Making their way downstairs, Hyun Cha's group finds a corpse of a man who got killed recently. In that moment, a speed monster hits Hyun Cha and he falls down nine floors in front of Eun-yoo . He wakes up three hours later with the residents knowing he is undergoing transformation. Unable to decide what to do, Eun-hyuk tells them to vote if they want him chased out or left inside. Seok-hyeon Kim wants public vote, but as no one else agrees, they vote anonymously which results in 9 to 8 for Hyun Cha to stay. Unable to accept this, Seok-hyeon Kim gets angry and his nose starts bleeding and ends up being put in the same room as Hyun Cha.
Wook Pyeon goes on the first floor and sees the man he beat up and proceeds to do the same. The man manages to escape and as he is bleeding, he tells them that he is turning into a monster and asks them to lock him up. They realize he is just beaten, but decide to do as he wishes. Inside the locked room, the man asks Hyun Cha how to become like him.
From Room 1408, Su-yeong tells Dusik that Myeong-suk was taking too long in the bathroom and as he goes to check, he finds her turned into a monster.
